Zenon is a character from Soul Hackers 2.
Profile[]
Zenon is a Zoma, or artificial demon, created by Iron Mask to be a vessel and protector for the Covenants. He is fiercely loyal to his creator, and will follow his orders without hesitation. Zenon's soul was built in a way that everything would enhance his fighting capabilities and his body built to withstand the stress of exceeding his physical limits. As such, each Covenant he absorbed greatly increased the amount of power he could project. However, this also limited means for others to communicate with him, as at most he would only express himself through glares, grunts and feral yells.
Zenon is first seen with Iron Mask during the death of Ichiro Onda, and was also directly involved in the deaths of Saizo and Mangetsu Kuzunoha, absorbing the Covenants from each individual. This allowed him to project an overwhelming amount of power during the party's first confrontation with him in Subway Line 14. Ringo was forced to call a retreat before the situation became worse.
After consulting Victor at the Cirque du Goumaden, Ringo learns that Iron Mask had also approached him for his expertise on demons regarding Zoma. Victor states that Zenon was incomplete at the time, and that Iron Mask created him entirely through his own efforts, so he isn't able to offer Ringo any advice on Zenon specifically. The only light Victor could shed on the sitation is that Zoma are particularly affected by the new moon.
This ultimately leads the party to seek Iron Mask and Zenon out at Ozaki Hope Towers during the next new moon, hoping it would give them enough of an edge to defeat Zenon, even knowing that Iron Mask allowing himself to be seen entering the area meant it would likely be a trap.
The party eventually does fall into a trap set by Iron Mask in the basement of Tower B, with the Moth-like Demons that had been sapping the party's MP throughout the towers finally surrounding the party and paralyzing them. Iron Mask is able to coerce Figue into coming before them to surrender the Covenant, on the terms that her friends will not be harmed afterward. After Zenon kills Figue and claims the yellow Covenant, the light of the Covenants fades from him as he tried to power up, leaving Zenon looking over himself in confusion.
At this point, Ash arrives to kill the demons holding the party, and Figue's drone, Mimi reactivates and directs the party to attack. Zenon is killed in the battle, leaving Iron Mask to flee with four of the Covenants, as the purple had disappeared.
Post battle, it is revealed that Figue had used a drone body identical to hers to transfer the yellow Covenant to Zenon, which also delivered a virus that would sever the link he used to power up using the Covenants, allowing the party to overpower him while he was weaknened.

- It is noted on the game's Japanese website that Zenon possesses the grip strength of 500 kg (1,102 lbs). For comparison, the average grip strength of a healthy male in his prime is about 101 lbs (46 kg).[1]
