The Zealot race, known in Japan as Mad God (狂神, Kyoushin)?, is a race in the Shin Megami Tensei series.
Overview[]
Zealots are Dark-Neutral demons of the Gods species composed of gods who have somehow been hurt or punished by the laws of their respective pantheons and can often be found in other races, like Fury or Vile; or by demons whose rituals consist in ecstatic parties.
The Zealot race is unique in that they, alongside the Enigma and UMA races, can only be created through fusion accidents.

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers[]
Zealot demons are created via special fusion if the player fuses any Deity, Megami, Lady or Fury demon during a full moon with any Vile, Reaper or Tyrant demon. If the same rule is applied during new moon, it will instead result in an Entity demon.
