Yamagoshi is a character from Persona 5: The Phantom X. He is Shun Kanou's mentor and one of Hiromu Miyazawa's victims whom he attempted to extort.

Persona 5: The Phantom X[]
Yamagoshi is a veteran ramen chef and the owner of Toraiken and Ashouken. He is the one teaching Masa and Shun Kanou how to make ramen and the pride as a ramen chef, hence both respect him greatly, especially Shun. Eventually, he was targeted in one of Hiromu Miyazawa's extortion schemes.
In Chapter 2 of the main story, when Hiromu Miyazawa is trying to make Yamagoshi transfer the ownership of the restaurants to him, Yamagoshi furiously refuses but collapses due to his sickness, which Miyazawa takes advantage to take over the restaurant.
Later, when Shun is heading to the Flavor Fight presented by Miyazawa, the protagonist and Motoha seek help from him as Shun is fated to fail. The hospitalized Yamagoshi asks them to give the shaving box he's been keeping in the safe to Shun. The item eventually helps Shun win the fight.
After Miyazawa has changed his heart and confessed his wrongdoings in public, Yamagoshi recovers and regains the ownership from Miyazawa.

- Yamagoshi's personal stamp suggests that his full name is Kazunori Yamagoshi (山越和徳, Yamagoshi Kazunori), as shown when Miyazawa uses it on the transfer agreement.
