A ghoulish monster that sucks the souls out of sleeping travelers via their mouths. They have an apelike appearance and some say that aged monkeys can become one.

"Origin: JapanA bat-like monster that hides up in the mountains. When bats live long enough, they turn into monsters called Nobusuma. As they continue to age, they turn into Yamachichi.
Yamachich appear in houses up in the mountains to suck the breath out of sleeping humans. If somebody spots the Yamachichi, the human who had their breath sucked will again longevity; however, if the Yamachichi is not spotted, that person will die the next day."
