History

Xiezhai, or Xiezhi (獬豸), is the name of a mythological goat-like creature in Ancient China that strikes evil fiends using its powerful horn.

Originally named Cai-Zhi, in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster its name has been changed to Xiezhai.

Kaichi can be contracted within Nakano Stone Site's silver-level instance. He can also be encountered on Denshi Kairo's 70F, where eighteen minature Kaichi will spawn. Any damage done to these mobs that is not a critical or limit break will count as only 1 HP of damage.

Known as Xiezhai, it is a Unique demon that doesn't require a particular fusion combination to create. Instead, the protagonist has to achieve a Fate level of 3 with Airi Ban before it is available. Once this has been achieved, it is unlocked for fusion on all subsequent runs as long as that save file is imported.
