World Balance

The World Balance is a sub-boss, first found in Persona 3 on the 236th floor of Tartarus. It then reappears in Persona 4 on the 7th floor of Heaven. It impedes the player's progress and must be fought in order to continue. After defeating this boss in Persona 3, the Judgement Social Link will reach level 6.

Battle

The World Balance is infamous for its ability and willingness to exploit the weaknesses of the party, if any.

In Persona 3, the fight goes in 3 "stages". For the first 1/3 of its HP it will stick to its elemental -dynes. For the following third it starts to switch to the Hama/Mudo skills, and when low on health it would try to hit a weakness before following up with Megidolaon. If a Magic Mirror or Makarakarn skill is used, the World Balance simply switches to casting Megidolaon every single turn it gets. Some find that if they are able to heal enough to keep up with the damage from Megidolaon, its response to a Magic Mirror/Makarakarn would make the fight easier since the player would not need to face the Hama/Mudo skills.

In Persona 4, its reduced skill set puts it a simpler strategy - it would tend to Dizzy whoever it knocks down with two elemental strikes in a row, or use its One More for a Mind Charge.
