Wondrous Magus appears in the upper half of the second section of the Tziah Block within Tartarus, between floors 151 to 163. In battle, they may waste turns trying to cast Matarukaja on themselves after one has already cast it. They are also the subject of one of Elizabeth's Requests, and they will drop Gold Rings while the quest is active. Returning to Elizabeth with 3 Gold Rings will complete the quest.
It later reappears as a boss on the 8th floor of Ptolomea alongside the Cowardly Maya and the Crying Table. All ailemnts can be inflicted, though it resists all except Distress (neutral) and Panic (weak).
Persona 4 / Golden[]
Wondrous Magus appears in the 9th and 10th Halls of the Steamy Bathhouse within the Midnight Channel. They will continuosly bombard the party with their magic attacks. Wondrous Magus has no weaknesses to exploit, but using Chie's Skull Cracker and Yosuke's Tentarafoo will incapacitate them for several turns and keep them from attacking the party (although they may smack each other for minimal damage). When defeated, Wondrous Magus may drop Smooth Fabric. Selling 10 Smooth Fabrics at Daidara will unlock the Hard Bolero female armor.
In Golden, Wondrous Magus appears in Baths 5-6 as a Red Shadow, and 8-10 as a normal encounter.
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth[]
Wondrous Magus appears in Stop 2 and 3 of the Group Date Cafe. When defeated, it may drop Shaman Piece, Shaman Robe, and Shaman Ring. Shaman Piece is used to create the Two-Handed Sword for Junpei and the P4 hero, and the Fire Pin accessory. Shaman Robe is used to create the Uta for Yukari, and the Thunder Pin accessory. Shaman Ring is used to create Punk Shoes for Chie.
