Typhon was the last son of Gaia, fathered by Tartarus and is the deadliest monster in Greek mythology. When Zeus imprisoned the Titans, it caused pain to Gaia (Tartarus was her bowels). So Gaia sent Typhon to destroy Zeus as an act of revenge. Typhon was depicted as having a human upper half and a bottom half covered in snake coils.
Known as Tupon, he is encountered in Dark Version at the Wind Shrine, where he attacks the party after becoming enraged when Akira rings the bell. After a struggle, Tupon was finally calmed down and it is revealed that he was expecting Akira the whole time. He bestows upon Akira the Hyper Pinwheel, an item that can only be used once and is claimed to be able to blow anything away, including time rifts. Afterwards, he offers to join the party if Akira returned after meeting with Lucifer. On Akira's return he states that he was waiting for him and promptly joins the party.
Tupon can perform the Wind combo Ice Wind with Fairy, which deals damage to all foes for 15 MP.
