Tsukuyomi Essences

Tsukuyomi Essences are items in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance that are exclusively found in the Canon of Vengeance storyline.

Profile

Tsukuyomi Essences are the Essences of Hayao Koshimizu, the only active Tsukuyomi-type Proto-fiend, made manifest after a series of tests by talking to the Head Researcher in the Tokyo Diet Building in Da'at: Minato to finetune the compatibility with Koshimizu and the protagonist, as Tsukuyomi having stepped up to be the Proto-fiend that fuses with the protagonist to make the young man a Nahobino once more due to Aogami being sacrificed by the Qadištu to resurrect Tiamat in Shinjuku.

Once a new Tsukuyomi Essence has been acquired by the Nahobino, it is then unlocked for purchase in the Cadaver's Hollow for the remainder of the current Canon of Vengeance run. If used up in a Canon of Creation run, players must wait until they reach the story checks in the Canon of Vengeance once more to obtain more Tsukuyomi Essences.

Locations

• Tsukuyomi Base: Can be collected from the Head Researcher immediately after obtaining the protagonist's Tsukuyomi Nahobino form.
• Tsukuyomi Median: Can be collected from the Head Researcher after reaching the Temple of Eternity.
• Tsukuyomi Ultimus: Can be collected from the Head Researcher after reaching the Empyrean.
