A Trauma Cell is a location in Persona 5 Strikers.
Overview[]
Trauma Cells are isolated parts within EMMA's Metaverse that are completely isolated from a Monarch's Jail due to emotional scars. Because the Monarch refuses to acknowledge the truth of the matter, its only entrance exists in the real world locations where their traumas happened. Overseen by Lock Keepers, Trauma Cells hold extremely important memories that act as the "lock" on a Monarch's heart, preventing the Phantom Thieves from accessing the Jail's inner sanctum and completing the infiltration route and it also prevents the Monarchs from moving forward. The source of the trauma is linked to its Jail, which means inputting the proper EMMA keyword permits access. After defeating the Lock Keeper, the Jail's barrier is removed.
Monarchs' traumas[]
- Alice Hiiragi's arrogant school bully who became jealous of Alice when a popular boy confessed to Alice and not her. Bullying Alice by stomping on her head to humiliate her and taking photographs or videos of it along with accusing a crying Alice of tricking him into being to nice to her even though she would never do it. Wanting Alice to die out of spite and jealousy and then saying she's taking away Alice's boyfriend.
- Ango Natsume's scheming editor and chief editor who at the coffee shop used Natsume for the big money by using his grandfather's name after rewarding him the prize because of his family name and not his writing in the book, and badmouthed him for his lack of talent for writing as saying it's bad by criticizing his book saying it's not even good enough for a writer while being eavesdropped by the hurt Ango himself.
- Mariko Hyodo's callous city employee and councilman who only wanted money and power. They planned to pin the blame on Mariko for the death of a nine year old girl, which in turn would force her to resign and open up the positions for mayor and promised the city employee will be able to be well paid associate if he cooperate. When a shocked Mariko was eavesdropping on the discussion they were having, finding out the one of her staff members was behind the murder of the little girl by lowing costs and hiring the cheaper construction site that bribed him and was going to threatened to call the police for his crimes, her city employee to remind her that reporting the incident would lead to her immediate removal by saying he did it under her orders while having the unscrupulous construction papers she signed which it's her fault.
- Akira Konoe's strict and abusive father who said he killed Akira's mother because she refused to give him the money when he told her to do, seeing her as a burden and he hates it when nobody respects him nor nobody takes him seriously either and people say that he is a joke to them. When he decided that keeping him around is a pain and the neck to him, he attempted to kill his hurt eight-year-old son named Akira, because he sees him as a burden and a bill over his hard earned money being used on him and not on himself, which makes Konoe's father see Akira as a burden as well, but was distracted by the sound of the television that featuring Zephyrman, Akira killed his father out of self defense and to avenge his late mother after realizing his father and his abusive and violent behavior will eventually went too far and there are no heroes come and save him which leave him to kill his father.

Trivia[]
- Akane Hasegawa is the only Monarch who does not have a Trauma Cell due to how recently the Jail of hers was made and she established as the one.
- Shuzo Ubukata's Trauma Cell was also not shown in the game due to the circumstances of his Jail, though his Trauma Cell's Lock Keeper is presented when the Phantom Thieves reach the Desires.
- In Dragalia Lost Caged Deisres, Emile's Trauma Cell in Dyrenell, it has the party go back to Dornith Mountain, where he lost to Euden in Chapter 4 because he after failed to secure Jupiter in Chapter 4, then having his own soldiers trash talk him, compare him unfavorably to his more successful and talented siblings older and younger even though he's born into a Royal family he's the one that always feels lacking, and that they're only using him to get cushy positions anyway sent him off the deep end, despite he was already a jerk to begin with.
- Futaba Sakura comes up with the name "Trauma Cell" since their previous word for it, Trauma Room, sounds like it's from "a cheesy hospital drama."[1]
