Tamami Uesugi is a character in Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Design

Tamami is a young woman with light brown hair tied in pigtails and brown eyes. Her dance outfit is similar to Kanami's but white and gray, and wears white boots with red laces. Tamami also wears a lime green flower hairclip with a red feather.

Personality

Tamami appears to be an energetic and strong-willed person. She thinks that she is the center of attention and has secret admirers. Yu describes her to be aggressive. She dislike cool guys, and sometimes acts the comic relief.

Tamami's insecurity is self-consciousness. She cares deeply about what others think of her, fearing that they look down on her and think of her as a joke. She swore to herself before becoming an idol to be herself and be number one.

After she is defeated and reverts back to normal, she is revealed to be hardworking and tried her best to be accepted for who she is.

Profile

Persona 4: Dancing All Night

Tamami is a member of Kanamin Kitchen. She and the other members somehow ended up in the Midnight Stage. Tanami was the first person to be found by Yu, Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko in her stage. She explains to them that the only thing she remembers before being forced into the Midnight Stage was a voice. However she is interrupted by the Eerie Voice, which taunts her about making the people laugh at her. When she denies it, she is forcefully dragged by ribbons to the main stage.

Tamami slowly submits to the shadow's will, transforming into a Shadow. Her appearance takes the form of a clown head with a wicked smile.

After she is defeated, she reverts back to her normal self and is kept safe inside a place that resembles a back room of TakuraPro. Out of nowhere Ochimizu appears, apparently safe and unharmed, who decides to stay with Tamami while the Investigation Team go and save Tomoe.

Trivia

• She has the same surname as Hidehiko Uesugi from the first Persona, even written with the same kanji. It's unknown if the two characters are related or this is a mere coincidence.
