Dates and time discrepancyEdit

so this game officially takes place in 203X? one of the theories for the time discrepancy in SMT4 was that time flowed normally outside of tokyo, in mikado and the rest of the world, but time in tokyo, inside the dome, was slowed down (due to the black hole in the yamato reactor, a real-life relativistic effect), so while only 25 years passed in tokyo, 1500+ years passed for the rest of the world. if this game is set in 203X that confirms that mikado alone had its time sped up several times instead of tokyo being slowed down compared to the rest of the world. for anyone curious, its official that time ran slower inside the dome than outside:

Miyata: Time flowed differently because of Masakado. That is why, rather than saying that time outside Tokyo was faster, it’s better to say that time flowed slower only in Tokyo. This was needed so people could continue their way of life from before the War of the Gods, and is also the reason the water and electricity infrastructure hadn’t really changed. The whole thing happened because the boy who had been Flynn’s previous self was influenced by Masakado and wished he could protect the Tokyo of that exact moment. Then Shesha opened the hole in the ceiling and they became unable to preserve the place.

so it really is the year 4000 or something outside of tokyo. Tathra (talk) 04:20, August 7, 2016 (UTC)

Sequel or Not?Edit

Okay, I'm confused. Is Shin Megami Tensei IV FINAL like a sequel to SMTIV or one of those another side stories. You know, where we play a different side of the story. BlackCat7688 (talk) 05:14, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

It's set in the last leg Shin Megami Tensei IV, where Flynn is fighting Merkabah and Lucifer, but it takes place in an alternate timeline and not after one of the endings. So it's not a sequel. GalaxiaWild (talk) 09:16, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

Apparently details from either the free dlc or the website mention that Final only happens if Nanashi makes the contract with Dagda. If he doesn't and chooses death then Flynn will go down the normal Neutral Route.-- 14:49, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

So, basically, it's one of those another side stories. Got it. BlackCat7688 (talk) 06:43, April 8, 2016 (UTC)
