Is Otogo Douji actually Gohou Douji?[]
Researching while making a list, i stumbled upon the deity/spirit Gohou Douji, and when reading the description about it and seeing a picture depicting him i realized that he is very similar to this demon`s design.
So, could this demon`s name be mistranslated? or actually Otogo Douji is a Gohou Douji?
Anyone with knowledge about Japanese mythology maybe could solve this out for me, because there is almost no information about Otogo Douji on the net.
I`ll quote the description i found in wikipedia: A gohō dōji (護法童子?) is a spirit from Japanese Buddhist folklore. (...) it is generally depicted as having the appearance of a young boy wearing a collar of swords, with a large sword in one hand and a noose in the other. It flies through the air by riding a Wheel of Dharma.
