Styx is a Persona in Persona 5: The Phantom X.
History[]
Styx is the eponymous goddess of the river that forms the boundary between the worlds of the living and dead in Greek mythology. Because she sided with Zeus and the Olympians during the Titanomachy, she was given the honor of her name being used in binding oaths made among deities. Oaths sworn with her name could not be broken for any reason, and as such several lead to deaths due to fatal promises that could not be refuted.
According to the Achilleid, his mother bathed Achilles in the river Styx as an infant to grant him invulnerability. It is also often this river that the ferryman of the underworld, Charon, is said to transport the souls of the deceased across.
