Strix is a demon in the series.
History[]
The Strix, plural being striges or strixes, was a bird of ill omen fed on the flesh and blood of humans from Greco-Roman Mythology. The strix is described as a large-headed bird with transfixed eyes, rapacious beak, greyish white wings, and hooked claws. Elsewhere, it is described as being dark-colored.
Its name is Greek in origin and means "owl," and the appearance and calls of owls inspired ancient ideas of owls as blood-drinking birds. It also referred to witches and related malevolent folkloric beings.

Shin Megami Tensei IV[]
"Witches that transform into birds at night and drink the blood of children. During the day they look like normal human women.
Their name comes from the Roman word for owl. The Romans believed that owls sucked the blood of infants, and eventually the story evolved into that of the witches."
A demon attempting to talk to one of the Kiccigiorgi villagers in Kiccigiorgi Forest. She despises the Luxurors and attacks when she sees the Samurai, who are part of the Luxuror class. Strix can later be encountered as a normal enemy in Kasumigaseki. She can teach Flynn the Spirit Drain, Bouncing Claw, Tarunda and Mabufu skills through her Demon Whisper.
Strix is also the subject of the Challenge Quest "Competition For Blood." Four Strix Bloods must be delivered in order to complete the quest and unlock the Demon Sneak body armor at Ueno's Black Market.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse[]
Strix can be found in the Toyosu Shelter and in the Konganji Passage within Ginza. She can teach the Life Drain, Mabufu, Bouncing Claw and Tarunda skills through her Demon Whisper. Strix benefits from learning Ice and ailment skills.
In the quest "[Transport] Secure Supplies," a horde of Strixes have taken over the Nikoshi Department Store, which hold a large supply of canned food, and set up a Domain. Nanashi is tasked with defeating the horde and recovering the goods by the Hunters Restoral Division.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner[]
Strix is fought alongside with Strigoii outside the Alien Dimension surrounding Kumiko Hatano's house. After their defeat they attempt to kidnap her, as per Sid Davis's orders, only to be stopped by Takashi.
