Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
His real name is Masahiro Sakurai. He is the one to introduce the player to the hacker society, and the one to show him a Guntype Computer, or GUMP, recently stolen from Paradigm Corporation's laboratories.
Across the game, Spooky will serve as mission control, issuing missions and indicating what to do in the struggle against Paradigm. However, during the events of the Monolith, Spooky will attack his teammates and reveal himself as possessed by Satanael.
After one of the game's final battles, Spooky reveals in his final moments he was partly responsible for Algon Software's research and founded the Spookies to repair some of the damage he had caused. After this, he dies, taking Satanael with him.
In the Playstation version, however, it is possible to save Spooky and in the epilogue he will be back as the leader of the Spookies.
