The Spirit (悪霊, Akuryō)? race is a race of demons in the Megami Tensei series.
Overview[]
Akuryou/Spirits are popular folklore ghosts and demons originated from human souls. They are part of and the namesake of the Evil Spirits species and are Dark-Chaos. In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE, the Shin Megami Tensei V games, Soul Hackers 2, and the Devil Survivor games, this race is absent, and its members are distributed between the Haunt and Foul races.
In Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis only, the Spirit race was renamed into the Jarei (邪霊, Jarei)?.
