The Sol Cat/Sun Lion is based off the lion with a sun motif. It is based on astronomical and astrological configurations, and the ancient zodiacal sign of the sun in the house of Leo. According to Afsaneh Najmabadi, the lion with a sun motif has had "a unique success" among icons for signifying the modern Iranian identity, in that the symbol is influenced by all significant historical cultures of Iran and brings together Zoroastrian, Shi'a, Jewish, Turkic and Iranian symbolism.

Solion can only be created by talking to Solion in Nova, who will fuse Cerberus and Orthrus together.
Last Bible II[]
Solion was the demon that protected Yuri from the king of Magoku. Fifteen years prior she saved Yuri and Larsa from the purge, leaving Larsa with a human in the nearby town of Ein while she raised Yuri directly along with her own sons Cerberus and Orthrus. She was a devoted if over protective mother to him. Early in the game she is captured by Magoku advisor Medoch, which spurs Yuri's quest to save her. Unfortunatly some of her bones are removed by Medoch to create his demons and she lives long enough to say good bye to Yuri and to beg him not to give into hatred for her death. Her death however causes Larsa to fall into darkness. Solions sons can become Yuri's companions in the game after training at Esau's village and return with him at the end. Post-game Yuri is able to fuse Cerberus and Orthrus together to become a new male Solion.

A Sol Cat named Rand is the demon partner of Jin, the protagonist of the Light Version, Fire Book, and one of the protagonists of Messiah Riser. Rand is a playable character in Puzzle de Call!.
