The protagonist can start Marie's Social Link as early as April 18th. To initiate the Social Link, enter the Velvet Room and choose "Check on Dwellers" followed by "Listen to Marie's request." She is found outside the Velvet Room entrance in the Central Shopping District during the day when the protagonist is not in the middle of an investigation. If the protagonist enters the Velvet Room while Marie is outside, she will return to the Velvet Room and not leave again for the day. However, the protagonist can still spend time with her by choosing "Check on Dwellers" and then "Listen to Marie's request."
The Social Link cannot be progressed beyond Rank 4 until July 24th. Once the protagonist defeats Tohru Adachi and Ameno-sagiri in Magatsu Inaba, the Social Link can no longer be progressed. As the deadline for defeating Adachi and Ameno-sagiri is December 24th, the deadline to complete Marie's Social Link is December 23rd.
Marie gives the protagonist an Old Bamboo Comb when the Social Link is maxed, which enables the fusion of Kaguya. Completing her Social Link also unlocks additional story events that occur after the defeat of Adachi and Ameno-sagiri.
"I wouldn't have been able to do that on my own. I only realized that because of you."
I'm not hearing a "thank you".

Trivia[]
During Rank 1, Marie makes a reference to Hiimdaisy/Gigi D.G.'s Persona 4comics by saying "Fsteak," offering it as an alternate shortening of "beefsteak." Despite the shout out, the line is a legitimate, more literal translation of the original Japanese dialogue in which Marie comments that "bifuteki" should be called "fusuteki."
During Rank 3, the dialogue will change depending on what season it is. In the winter, Marie will refer to Yukiko as "Red Girl," while in the summer she'll call her "Black Girl." What Yukiko picks will also change. In the winter, it'll be a crimson skirt, but in summer it'll be a jet-black skirt.
