Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition is a re-release based on Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax. This release of featured Raidou and his feline sidekick Gouto in the place of Dante.
Unlike other versions, Maniax Chronicle Edition was only sold in Japan, and it was released bundled with a limited "plus" edition of Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon.
Gameplay Changes
The version is based on Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax, and hence adopts any gameplay changes of that game contrasted to the original version.
- Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV, along with Gouto-Doji, replace Dante as the Demi-fiend's potential ally.
- Some events and scenes have been changed to cater to that as well.
- The opening movie has been changed back to the one of the original Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.
- A bug where opening a treasure chest in one place would open another treasure chest containing the same item.
