Sariel, also known as Samuil, Suriel, Suriye, Suryal, Seriel, Sauriel, Saraqael, Sarakiel, Suruel, Surufel or Sourial, is the name of an archangel from Judaic tradition. His name means "Command of God", "Prince of God" or "Ministry of God" depending on the pronunciation.
He is a prince of presence and an angel of healing, like Metatron and Raphael respectively, and is one of few benevolent angels of death. His role is to watch over human souls and prevent them from sinning. He is commemorated in the calendar of the Coptic Orthodox Church on 27 Tobi in Coptic calendar.
In the Book of Enoch, he is one of the four holy archangels and is of "eternity and trembling", in the Qabbalah he is one of seven angels of the earth, and Origen identifies him as one of seven angels who are primordial powers. In Gnosticism, Sariel is invoked for his protective powers. Sariel is said to be an archangel of death and protection. who watch over the spirits that sin in the spirit, and Sariel is one of the angels who look upon the bloodshed on Earth. The book of War of the Sons of Light Against the Sons of Darkness, from the Dead Sea Scrolls, lists the name of Sariel along with Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel as names to write upon the shields of soldiers in a tower during maneuvers.

Shiki is an angel who's lost his power. He seems to be guiding Kei Azuma to something, but his goals are unknown. He's really the fallen angel Sariel.
Majin Tensei II[]
Sariel is fought in Amnesia's Mahong on the Neutral, Light-Law, and Dark-Chaos routes.
Devil Survivor[]
Sariel is fought as a boss in two of Devil Survivor's routes. He, along with his palette swap Anael, appear in Yuzu Tanikawa's ending, to oppose the protagonist's attempt to escape the lockdown, and in Naoya's ending, to attempt to dissuade the protagonist from staying with Naoya and becoming the King of Bel.
They will also appear in Overclocked on Naoya's 8th day, assisting Metatron in the final battle (if the protagonist spared the demon tamers).
