Saki appears to be calm and calculating. She's quick on her feet in battle and pays attention to her surroundings, adapting as necessary.
Saki is fond of Touma Shikura and views him as more of a mentor and leader than Mareya Kujou. After his death, she struggles with accepting the fact he's passed away, which comes to a head as she transfers to Naginomori Gakuen's high school division under the alias of Mayuri Yamazaki (山咲 まゆり*)?. Due to issues with the Persona Suppressors she is required to take to calm her Persona, her Persona begins to bend and destroy objects throughout the school during the night. Jun Kanzato discovers that her Persona is lashing out trying to deal with the loss of Touma.

Saki is the lone female member of Marebito. During the first fight with Shin Kanzato, she loses her Persona, but regains it through Mareya Kujou's equipment.
As Mayuri Yamazaki, she plays the role of Kanaru Morimoto's childhood friend and while she is initially simply sent to perform maintenance to ensure Kanaru continues to perform Kagenuki, Jun's help causes her to consider playing student longer. Through this, she becomes closer to the main cast and even uses it to Marebito's advantage in preventing an ambush to their drug deal.
At the end of the series, Soutarou Senou reveals to her Mareya's plans to use them to awaken his daughter's clone, which Saki accepts more easily than he does. However, she recognizes that Kanaru has become more than just a doll for Marebito's plans and gives her the means to escape.

- The name Saki means "sand" (沙) (sa) and "season" (季) (ki).
- Saki's surname Tachibana means "orange, tangerine" (橘) (tachi) and "flower, blossom" (花) (hana/bana).
