"If you're going to force your will on everyone... then the time for words has passed. I'll stop you. Even if I have to fight you. That's what a friend would do."
Ringo is the protagonist of Soul Hackers 2.
Appearances[]
- Soul Hackers 2: Protagonist
Design[]
Ringo takes the form of a young adult with red eyes, and a pastel green bob with two extra long strands and electric yellow underlighting. She wears a black hair band, a black sleeveless shirt covered by a pale violet halter-top vest, a cyan tie, black half palm gloves with a cyan stripe on the index fingers, ankle cuff heels, and hot pants. Her cropped hoodie has a fur hood and chartreuse lining—it flashes in a geometric green pattern when idle, and red when she's damaged while performing a Soul Hack. When her COMP is in its "dormant phase," it is stored on her body via tattoos on her legs.
When starting a sabbath, sending out demons for recon, or using her processing power, her eyes glow.
Personality[]
Upon the very beginning of the game, Ringo is initially very dry and sarcastic. Although she's logical, she was very apathetic even as far as in the face of death, shrugging off Arrow's dead body. This also made her reckless, as she casually took the risk to perform several Soul Hacks in a row as the world would be as "good as gone" if left as is. She would also engage in pop, street and internet culture, as in R.S.'s fight, she would end his defeat by imitating him with a rap.
Shortly after interacting with her allies, however, Ringo begins to act more human and develops emotions, rather than focusing blindly on working on her goal. She's curious about the state of society and is eager to learn more about them, as well as her own friends. She's rather perceptive of them and remarks when she finds anything strange or concealed with their behavior.
Profile[]
Soul Hackers 2[]
Ringo is a being that has been recently born. She is an agent for Aion, together with Figue, who has been born at the same time as her. Ringo is curious about society, culture and human emotions.
At one point, Ringo obtains the ability to "Soul Hack," letting her revive the target of her choice. She does so with her allies Arrow, Milady and Saizo.
Ringo's COMP is Antikythera. It changes between katana and gun type.
In combat, Ringo is efficient with both Electricity and Almighty skills. Ringo has the unique property of casting Commander Skills, which are only timer-based depending on how many turns have passed. Those skills can be integrated into her COMP.

Etymology[]
- The name "Ringo" is a stylized name of the Japanese word for "Apple" (りんご, Ringo)?. Apples are commonly depicted as the forbidden fruit in the bible, with the Adam's apple being named after the fruit. Ringo's hair and eye colors (green, yellow, and red) are likely also references to apples, as common varieties of apples include those same three colors.
