"Even if you get knocked out in a fight, a Revival Bead can pick you right back up. Be a good idea to keep a bunch on hand, especially if you've got a tough battle ahead..."
Revival Bead, also localized as Ball of Returning in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, is a consumable revival item.
History[]
"Chikaheshi no Tama" (地返しの玉*)?, literally Bead of Returning to the Earth, is one of the ten sacred treasures mentioned in Sendai Kujihonki (先代旧事本紀*)?. Its function is to expel evil spirit back to the netherworld. The sacred treasure which actually revives the deceased is "Makarukaeshi no Tama" (死返の玉*)? or "Bead of Returning the Dead."
"Michikaeshidama" (道返玉*)?, literally Bead of Returning to the Path, is likely an original invention by Atlus based on the two aforementioned treasures.
Effect[]
A revival bead can be used on a specific fainted party member to restore them back to normal. It will also recover 50% of their HP.
Similar items also appear through out the series, such as the Revival Leaf in Shin Megami Tensei IV and the Revivadrin in Persona 5.
