Retaliate (猛反撃, Mou hangeki)? / (喰らいカウンタ, Kurai kaunta)? is a passive skill.
Effect[]
In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Retaliate has a 50% chance of causing the user to counter any Physical attack with a physical attack, dealing medium damage.
In Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Retaliate has a 50% chance of causing the user to counter any Physical or Gun attack with a strong physical attack
In Shin Megami Tensei IV and Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Retaliate has a chance of causing the user to counter any Physical or Gun attack with a physical attack, dealing heavy damage.
In Shin Megami Tensei V, Retaliate explicitly activates on Strength-based attacks, and does not activate on attacks that kill the user. Retaliate does not activate Charging effects, such as Charge and Critical Aura. If Retaliate activates against an enemy that repels the affinity, the attack will simply be blocked.
In Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2, Retaliate causes the user to automatically counter attacks with a Hunt attack.
In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE/Encore, Retaliate is an enemy exclusive skill that allows the user to a chance to counter for medium damage when hit by a single target physical attack.
