Diarama SMT5

Silky casting Diarama in Shin Megami Tensei V

Heal Icon IS Recovery Skills (回復, Kaifuku)?, also known as Healing Skills are a skill type in the series. The skills are formerly known as both Bless (祝福, Shukufuku)?, which consist of healing and status restoring spells which cannot miss, and Expel Icon P1 Miracle (奇跡, Kiseki)?, which involves reviving the party and dealing damage to the enemy.

Formerly, in Megami Ibunroku Persona, both Bless and Miracle are 2 subtypes of Light Skills. Miracle skills are the Light equivalent of Curse.

Although "Bless" originally referred to healing and recovery in both English and Japanese, in Persona 5, it refers to the affinity of attack and instant-death Light Skills.

General spell[]

Dia Family[]

Skills with the root word "Dia" are HP healing spells. "Dia" is Greek for "to pass through" (common in medical terms, could mean that magic passes through the body to heal it) as well as Spanish for "Day" (the sun was believed to naturally heal people of illness) and Sanskrit for "deserving of gifts" (the gift of health?). However, because in the very first game of the series there are only "Medi" (メディ), "Medica" (メディカ) and "Medical" (メディカル) in the HP healing spell family, implying that "Dia" was just alternated from "Medical" in the subsequent games to denote the weakened version of the spell.
