Rainy Pot appears in the 5th and 6th Chapters of the Void Quest within the Midnight Channel on rainy days. It uses Spirit Drain to reduce a Persona user's SP, making it difficult for the player without any means to restore SP to progress, should they encounter a group of them unprepaired. It also drains all attacks but Fire (its weakness), Light/Dark, and Almighty. It is one of two Pot shadows that only appear on rainy days (the other one being the Cloudgirl Pot). It may sometimes drop a Rare Poncho when defeated. Selling the Rare Poncho will unlock the Amakaze Happi female armor, an armor will low defense and evade but with an effect that heightens evasion against physical attacks.
In Golden, it appears in Chapters 5 through 9. It may also drop Howlite, Milky Quartz or Bloodstone for trade at Shiroku Pub.
Rainy Pot appears in Story 2 of the Evil Spirit Club. Like the Phantom Mage, Phantom Master, and Amenti Raven, these Shadows follow a strategy of rendering the party vulnerable with Elec Corrosion before casting Mazionga to take advantage of the party's newfound weakness to electricity. If unprepared for, encountered in a group of other Rainy Pots, or if it ambushes the party and gains Enemy Advantage, they can inflict dangerous amounts of damage and leave slower teammates helpless to act from being knocked down. They rarely are knocked down and are more likely to evade Magic Binds, but have an exploitable weakness to fire.
Rainy Pot appears in Act 1 of Hikari. It attacks with single- and multi-target Elec skills. When defeated, it may drop Cursed Pot Gem and Cursed Pot Bit. Cursed Pot Gem is used to create the Agony Whip for Ann, the Eternal Blade for Mitsuru, the Oomiyari for Ken, the Camel Red for Naoto, and the Passion Sweats male armor. Cursed Pot Bit is used to create the Monohoshizao for Yusuke, the Anode Saber for Akechi, and the Maxima Sniper for Aigis.
