Shin Megami Tensei: 20XX[]
The protagonist is a young boy without memories who is raised by a Trainer at his gym in the slums of Valhalla. After he saves a girl from a demon, he is forced by the Temple Knights to become the new protector of the city. Madam tells him that he is the messiah and enrolls him in the Colosseum Tournament to strengthen him. During the tournament, he discovers the corruption of the Temple Knights, who summon demons to kill those who are not members of the Order of Messiah and starts a rebellion against them. Followed by Ain, the girl he saved, the destiny of Valhalla depends on which side the protagonist chooses to follow.
After the Colosseum Challenge is complete, depending on his Alignment, the protagonist will be invited by a Spiritual Entity (Metatron on Law or Mara on Chaos) to become the new ruler of Valhalla. If Metatron is the one, the protagonist must go to the East District of Valhalla and destroy Mara, Satan and Lucifer to prevent riots and rebellions against the Messian Church. If Mara is the one, the protagonist must destroy Metatron, the leader of the Messian church, in order to free the people of its menace.
Shin Megami Tensei: 20XX Devil's Colosseum[]
The protagonist appears as a 14-year-old boy, who was forsaken by his parents along with his twin sister and left in an orphanage. While living in the orphanage, he is tormented by awful visions and nightmares, which give him a message. When he is 14 years old, the Twin Sister is possessed by a demon who has named itself Lucifer, and throws the orphanage into a dark area full of monsters that leads to a maze. While wandering around, a mysterious man, Stephen, gives him a Demon Summoning Program to help in his quest. After completing the maze, the protagonist sees his sister in front of him, possessed by "Lucifer" and then must choose: to destroy Lucifer, which means killing his Twin Sister; or to leave the orphanage in the maze. No matter which one he chooses, he will never see his sister again.
