Role[]
The party talks feature enables the player to interact and communicate with the current party members, usually outside of dungeons. This allows the player to learn more from each character and their current thoughts on each other, the story, and miscellaneous topics. Occasionally, the player may receive items or hints from their party members and may even be given dialogue choices, allowing the protagonist to participate in the talks. These choices are generally only available for role-playing purposes, but depending on the situation may reveal missable story information or mechanics.
Megami Ibunroku Persona[]
Each party member can be found in almost every room, whether the player be within a shop, dungeon, or other location. The dialogue the player receives depends on both the character, current room and story events.
Persona 2[]
Party talks remain mostly unchanged, though they can now grant access to hidden group Contact options such as the "100 Stories" Contact between Baofu, Elly, and either Ulala or Katsuya in Eternal Punishment.
Persona 3 / FES / Portable[]
Due to the changes made in Persona 3, party talks now takes place almost exclusively within the Iwatodai Dorm and the dialogue often changes each month. However, there are times in which the party moves to other locations such as Kyoto.
In FES and Portable, the player can encourage Junpei to spend more time with Chidori while she is hospitalized, potentially causing her to be revived later in the game.
