Persona 5 Royal[]
Sumire's finishing touch.
Sumire Yoshizawa awakens on October 3rd while stumbling upon Maruki's Palace, but will not participate in the party with the exception of January 2nd, before returning again (and officially joining) on January 12th. She specializes in damage-type Bless skills, and a high evasion stat and Critical rate.
Sumire has normal Magic strength, allowing her to deal Heavy Bless damage. It is made stronger than usual with Bless Amp, boosting the attack power of Bless skills. However, her Physical attack stat is significantly high, further supported by the strength of her physical attacks: Severe for all foes, and Colossal for one.
Brave Step increases the Critical rate of the entire party, and only the entire party. This is comparable to skills like Revolution, which increase the Critical rate of the enemy side simultaneously.
Sumire has access to the skill Apt Pupil, which automatically increases her Critical rate in battle, granting her access to boosted damage, as well as knocking down enemies before being succeeded by 1 More!s. This skill is supported by her moderate Luck. It can further be boosted with Brave Step, a skill she can learn on Level 80, that boosts the Critical rate of all party members. On the other hand, Ali Dance doubles her evasion against any attacks, making it difficult for enemies to hit her. It is boosted by her Agility stat, which is the highest out of all members of the group.
Sumire is however a technical party member, as her primary downside is that she has the lowest Endurance of any party member. Although supported by her high HP cap, as a Physical user these attacks will make her much more vulnerable as it drains her HP (which is as low as 1/5th and as high as 1/4th at a time, which becomes much more complicated if One Mores and Baton Passes are applied.) As such, it is important to make the most out of her evasion whenever possible.
In the case that Sumire's low on HP, in order to avoid the risk of getting knocked out or if she's unable to pay the cost of HP to perform any skills anymore, she can heal herself with Diarahan, fully restoring her HP. It is highly recommended to use after landing Critical hits and performing One Mores. Otherwise, she may simply use Baton Pass to pass the skill to someone else, should it be more important to heal everyone than just herself, and so on. It is highly recommended to only use Diarahan for Sumire herself, and repurpose these healing capabilities onto another party member should her skill be forgotten.
Sumire completely blocks Bless attacks, and is weak to Curse.
Sumire's Persona trait is Veil of Midnight, which decreases the chance of allies getting downed while attacked. Not only does it hinder the enemy team's chances of utilizing One Mores, it is an especially defensive maneuver on Sumire's part, who already has increased evasion against attacks in general.

If the protagonist maxes out Sumire's Confidant, her Persona Cendrillon will evolve into Vanadis. She will be able to learn the skill Evade Curse, which increases her chance of dodging Curse attacks. Additionally, after maxing out her Confidant, Sumire will unlock a Showtime with the protagonist the next time they arrive at the Hideout.

If Sumire's Confidant has been maxed out, on February 2nd, the day before the final infiltration, the protagonist may go to her room for her Third Awakening, where her Persona will merge into Ella, making her resistant to Nuclear attacks. She'll be able to learn Masquerade, a Severe Physical attack that hits twice. Although having a reduced Critical rate compared to Brave Blade, it can serve to be fatal if combined with Apt Pupil, allowing for flexibility via One Mores and the ability to pass the Baton. In addition, her Trait will transform into Veil of Sunrise, further enhancing the odds of allies not getting downed.
On the use of Masquerade, in spite of its low innate damage in itself, if combined with the use of One Mores, it can be a powerful tool. It is recommended to aim for at least 2 Criticals to make the most out of the attack per turn.
Sumire's strongest weapons are created through the Electric Chair Execution during a fusion alarm. Her strongest melee weapon is the Sword of Sinai II, which is created using Sandalphon. It has a high chance of inflicting Dizzy on her foe. Her strongest ranged weapon is Sahasrara EX, which is created using Ardha. It gives Sumire +6 to all of her base stats.
