History

Ophanims are a class of celestial beings in Judeo-Christian mythology. They are described in the Book of Enoch as with the Cherubim and Seraphim as never sleeping, but watching and guarding the throne of God. They are often equated with Thrones.

Ophanim appears as a boss in the Infinite Abyss, where he comes to offer salvation to Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV after discussing his dreams with Narumi. He only repeats the same line of eliminating dangerous objects and saving souls before it malfunctions and dies at the end of the fight.
