"Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..."
Old Doll is a Shadow in the Persona series.
Appearances[]
Profile[]
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth[]
An F.O.E that appears on the fourth Story of the Evil Spirit Club. It chases the party and moves two steps for each step the protagonist takes, but like the other F.O.Es in the Labyrinth, it is repelled by light and will not chase the party through lit squares. The party also encounters this F.O.E on the upper floors, but offscreen - it is always holding a door shut to prevent them from going back through that same door, but will not start pursuing the party into the room until the 4th floor.
The BGM changes to "I'm Here..." whenever the F.O.E is in the same room and in pursuit.
During the P4 story, an Old Doll will start giggling as it moves towards the party, scaring the girls into the Men's restroom, where Yosuke, Kanji, and the P4 hero are. The rest of the party follow in as well. Everyone crowds into the stalls except Zen, who sneaks out to find a way to get rid of the F.O.E without fighting it. The doll will enter the restroom, searching for someone, until it hears the fire alarm and leaves.
After completing the dungeon, Elizabeth will put up a request for the party to defeat an Old Doll. When defeated, it may drop Blue Clothes. Blue Clothes is used to create the Mint Dog-Suit for Koromaru.
Strategy[]
Despite the F.O.E having three weaknesses—two of which being Physical attacks, giving the party many opportunities to Boost—its dodge rate is incredibly high. It also resists poison to a much greater degree than other F.O.Es in the Labyrinth, as it will only have a 30% success rate of being inflicted without the aid of Impure Reach. Its Mamudoon is particularly dangerous on the P3 route on Risky, due to the P3 hero's weakness to Darkness, and it can randomly decide to cast Diarahan to heal any damage it takes.
However, it resists Light instead of nullifying it, and with luck it can be killed in one shot with an Impure Reach-boosted Hamaon, a process made easier through the use of Skill Cards, a perk granted upon entering the previous floor. Otherwise, bring several Homonculi to prevent a complete party wipe, and inflicting Panic on it is the best bet to stop it from dodging or healing. Koromaru is also a good party member to bring to the fight, as he can shrug off Mamudoon and possesses Masukukaja to reduce the chances of attacks missing.
