Oda Special is a Confidant ability unlocked by ranking up Shinya Oda's Confidant to Rank 10.
Once unlocked, it allows the protagonist to ignore an enemy's resistance, immunity, reflection and absorption against ranged attacks from his guns. This does not affect Personas' Gun skills or other party members' weapons. Oda Special cannot pierce through a physical shield set up by Tetrakarn or Counter/Counterstrike/High Counter, or ignore special damage-reducing effects. If his ammo can inflict ailments, Oda Special does not ignore the target's immunity to such ailments.
If the protagonist's gun attack is bounced back to him, it will not pierce through his own resistance.
