Nord Mines (ノルド廃鉱山, Norudo Haikouzan)? is a dungeon in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Nord Mines is located in northeast of the Kingdom of Euchronia. Having an abundance of magla crystals, mining has been run under King Hythlodaeus V's authority. However, presumably due to digging into a fire dragon's nest years ago which led to a fatal incident which led to the losses of lives, the mines were closed off, though intended to be temporary. As of the moment of the story, there is an influx of illegal miners who enter and scour the mine for any treasures.
The protagonist, Strohl and Grius go through the mine on 6/6 as means to return to the Royal Capital Grand Trad before the king's funeral. This is where they discover Captain Klinger's treachery and fight him after Strohl awakens to the Warrior Archetype. Grius would also be able to obtain the means to equip Archetypes as well after the protagonist was abruptly pulled into Akademeia after forging a bond with Strohl. After being defeated, Klinger escaped off-screen.
At the very end of the dungeon resides the Fire Dragon Mauna, the fire dragon that forced the church to shut down the mine. It can be evaded by taking a roundabout eith a few Homo Tentas or confronted directly by walking directly in front of it. If fought and defeated, the party will find some goods behind it and a treasure chest containing the purifiable Dragon's Indignation, an item equippable by the Warrior lineage.
