Nisroc or Nisroch is a god said to be worshiped by the Assyrians in the biblical Book of Kings and Book of Isaiah. However, the name is not present in any Mesopotamian sources. Modern researchers assume that "Nisroch" is a misspelling of Nimrod, the biblical adaptation of Ninurta, a prominent Mesopotamian god associated with agriculture, order and kingship and renowned in myths as the slayer of Anzu and various other monsters.[1] In the 19th century, the name Niscroc was erroneously attributed to any eagle-headed figures excavated in present day Iraq as the first site of such a discovery was located near the area where, according to the Bible, Nisroc was worshiped.
In the Talmud, Nisroc is said to be a plank from Noah's Ark worshiped as an idol by the Assyrians.
In Christian demonology, the name Niscroc was eventually assigned to a demon considered to be hell's main cook, first described in Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, published in 1577. Milton's Paradise Lost portrays Nisroc as a timid, cowardly figure who notes demons are inferior to angels in battle because they can feel pain.[2]
"A fallen angel who is Beelzebub's personal chief of cuisine. He has authority over temptation through delicacies and food. Before he fell, he was a principality that guarded the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. He is said to have been worshiped by Sennacherib, king of Assyria. But because tens of thousands of Sennacherib's followers were slaughtered overnight by an angel of God, Nisroc forsook God. He then rebelled alongside Lucifer and was cast down. After becoming chief of cuisine of the lords of Hell, he is said to cook dishes with the fruits of the Tree of Life to this day."

A Nisroc joins Mirai Kaname at the beginning of Red Book. Later in both versions a Nisroc can be found in Forest Land, where he seeks to make the legendary Golden Apple Pie.
