The Nemean lion was a monster in Greek mythology, killed by Heracles as his first labor. Because its golden fur was impervious to attack, it could not be killed by mortals' weapons. In one reading, the lion was purported to be the offspring of Orthrus, raised by Hera, and sent to terrorize the hills of Nemea. In another interpretation, he was the offspring of Typhon.
In Golden, it appears in Worlds 1 and 2 of Magatsu Inaba, and Worlds 1 and 3 of Magatsu Mandala. It repels Fire and Ice, blocks Light, and is weak to Darkness. It is a purely physical attacker, using Power Slash, Deathbound, and Cruel Attack as its physical attacks of choice. It may also drop Rainbow Quartz for trade at Shiroku Pub.
