Morgan, also known as Mari-Morgan and Morgen, are water spirits from Welsh and Breton myths. They are said to lure men to their death by using their beauty or with glimpses of underwater gardens with homes made of silver and gold. They also cause heavy flooding that destroys crops or villages. The morgans are eternally young and, like sirens, they sit in the water while combing their hair seductively.
The witch Morgan Le Fay from Arthurian legend might have originated from the Morgan.
