Misericorde is a weapon in the series.

History

A misericorde (derived from the Latin misericordia, meaning "act of mercy") was a long and narrow knife used to deliver the death stroke, or mercy stroke, to a seriously wounded knight. The blade was thin enough to strike through the gaps between armor plates. As well as dispatching knights with mortal wounds, it could also be used in close quarters disputes, such as a grappling struggle. It is similar to the stiletto.
