Minthe is a Persona in Persona 5: The Phantom X.
History[]
In Greek mythology, Minthe is an underworld nyaid and daughter of the infernal river-god Cocytus, assiociated with such river. Hades falls in love with her for her beautiful looks and makes her his concubine. However, Hades' wife Persephone (or her mother Demeter in some sources) finds out and transforms Minthe into a plant out of jealousy. The plant is given the name mint from Minthe's name, also called by some as hedyosmos, which means "sweet-smelling" in ancient Greek. It continues to grow alongside Hades, in his garden and all over the ground in the mortal world, releasing its fragrance to emphasize its existence.
