"The wiki you accused me of copying has no legal claim to any sources they themselves are citing from different websites."
You're right. We don't have rights to what we're citing. We have right to the originally written content we wrote based on those sources. You on the other hand have copy and pasted originally written work and pasted it onto your imitation wiki as your own produced content. Including tables I personally spent hours coding onto this wiki.
"They don't own any of the legal rights to any of that content. Atlus does. It's a fan-based wiki."
Atlus only owns the rights to the media files we have on this wiki under fair use. The files being copied from this wiki aren't the issue though, the written page content is. Which belong to this wiki community.
"I spent 7 years helping them write that content before they banned me for no reason."
You were banned by Otherarrow for your continually toxic behavior towards other editors. Something I see you apprently aren't taking any steps to correct. Get over it.
"I demand you ban them for filing a false claim and delete their wiki page."
"Since they clearly filed false claims, they should be banned and their wiki should be deleted."
These two statements would be completely laughable if they weren't so pathetic. So I expect you think you'll be 'obliterating' our wiki and leaving it to 'languish into yesteryears' by taking our content and trying to pass it off on your own? There are no words to describe how sad that is, especially when you seem unable to produce any original content on your 'competing' wiki.
It's a project, and neither you nor anybody else has rights to a public use website. It falls outside of the domain of copyright, you're so ignorant that it's laughable. That's what public domain means. Try this farce by trying to file the charge that I'm breaking the law and I will sue you, understand me?
You're clearly too ignorant to understand what the attribution content means. It's for copyrighted material. Copyrighted material falls outside of what is legally referred to as the public domain. The Lawyer who contacted me said that you filed Atlus's copyrights as your own -- the images that you used are not yours and you WILL be facing charges, potentially shutting down this wiki -- if you continue filing such an absurd claim, then I'll continue to point out that you're trying to steal Atlus's copyright, which is exactly how the lawyer will interpret it because you idiots clearly don't know what the fuck you're doing or what the rules mean. He'll be forced to take down your wiki. Thanks for giving me an open door to file a complaint because you were too fucking dumb to understand that.
But as I stated, NONE of the written content falls under any of your copyright, if that were true, I could have sued you all for banning me when I had so-called "copyright" work here. A wiki that is freely open to the public and can be changed at will doesn't fall under copyright, but public domain. This is not an instance of me taking a quote from your book or film or any substantive intellectual property. It's freely copying and using Public Domain content.
You're calling me an idiot while referring to the Wikia staff member who contacted you as a "lawyer," who outright told you that it does need to be attributed to us, and apparently failing to read anything they linked or told you? Right. Sure.
No, he said the claim was lodged. I clarified that you don't have any copyright protections because none of it falls under a copyright claim, it falls under public domain as this is a public domain website. Links to Atlus fall under fair use and they own the copyright. I was specifically told that you were claiming the images -- Atlus's images -- fall under your copyright by the lawyer. Therefore, you've just put yourself in legal peril and I told him as much. Great job, btw. Maybe if you were smart, like me, you'd spend time actually reading what the law is so you wouldn't make such a dumbass move.
No, I saw what you were told in the messages Semanticdrifter left you, the issue is the page content. And that last statement is really sticking your foot in your mouth, work on your own reading comprehension before trying to claim being 'smart.'
You saw the admin message I was given on the wiki I made? Highly unlikely. That isn't the message I was referring to. If you click his facebook link, you'll find that he's also a lawyer. I only brought up the law because your attribution doesn't fit fair use or copyright, so stop speaking nonsense. I've written books of my own so I'm already well-versed. You can convince yourself that I'm ignorant all you like, it won't change the results that you've set in motion.
... Are you really taking legal action for this outright dumb situation? Dude, you copied all the content of this wiki, it's morally not right, you should really just delete it because making a clone wiki due to a tantrum is just petty wether you are in the wrong or not here.
You have been lifting content from our wiki without our permission. That work is from THIS community and is not something you can simply take and re-use like it's something you produced. You can either rewrite those pages into original content or attribute the pages back to our wiki as they are the work of this community.
I don't need permission, it's public domain. You have no copyright so it doesn't fall under fair use. Learn the fucking law. I spent 7 years helping you all and you all treated me like fucking shit and banned me before I without ever giving me the chance to talk or defend myself. I sent a well-reasoned message to Otherarrow twice before I left the message you read and all he did was delete. Fuck him, fuck you, and go to fucking hell. I will smash this wiki to dust. I'll smash it if it's the last thing I ever do. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE! SEVEN FUCKING YEARS AND ALL YOU DID WAS TREAT ME LIKE SHIT FUCK YOU ALL!
It was more than two years. I've treated both of you with nothing but respect and you both continuously treated me like shit. Constantly harassing me for the dumbest reasons arguing I made-up fanon, forcing me to use the actual SMTIV Artbook and Kaneko's own words to continue reiterating points. And seriously, who the fuck spends their days arguing about whether it's Godslayer when the term is described in the game and the notes even give you a brief definition in the game itself? You didn't play IV and you didn't play IV Apocalypse. All the content I've provided is based on the in-game content of the game itself and you just ban me for getting upset once, in which I didn't use all that foul a language, assume I was going to continue, and continue to justify treating me like shit. That's all I am to you both. Seriously, fuck off. I did nothing but be nice and cordial and you just ban me for such a petty fucking reason.
Because as we all know, video games follow grammar rules flawlessly. And I hope you're not trying to insinuate that I'm the one that hasn't played those two titles. Considering I'm the one that has contributed the majority of the stat information present on the wiki for the latter.
And is wasn't just once. You continually have a snide remark in the edit summary every time you went to revert someone.
That's completely false and you know it. I made one snide comment and I get banned for a year, meanwhile otherarrow continuously implies I'm some kind of fucking idiot and nothing is done about his belligerent attitude for 7 fucking years. Go fuck yourself if you're actually going to equate me getting upset after he banned me without letting me speak has no equivolancy to his harassment of me for 7 years.
And no, I'm specifically talking about that dumbass otherarrow, who repeatedly goes on a fucking ragefest at me for every small fucking thing. You just enable him and then you tried this legal nonsense which you clearly lack the basic understanding of.
Wether there is a legal reason or not it's not morally right to outright copy all the content of another wiki due to "revenge". For example, as far as I know your trivia regarding the arcana or whatever for SMTIVA characters were links to an analysis page which dwells on the speculation side of things... even if the analysis has great points it's still a thing not confirmed by the developers itself. Those pieces of trivia got deleted and you were the one that got angry.
From P3 and onward I can believe since it's blatant as all hell... however the only SMT game I can say that follows some sort of Fool's Journey is SMTII due to the naming of the characters... but I never saw any indication or confirmation from the devs saying that all mainline games from SMT follows the Fool's Journey, I would like a source, please.
And please... don't act condescending with the phrase "Try again," I'm trying to have a civil conversation.
