Your edit removed the sliders featuring the newest games and the upcoming dates section, and added a summary that only applies to part of the series when the games encompassed here are related to Megaten as a whole.
Unless those instructions came from someone that's staff on this wiki, I'm not sure whose instructions you'd be following. Or if they aren't, why they'd have any say whatsoever in the matter over the local administration.
Hi Pyromania11037! I'm one of the Gaming Community Managers and who previously talked with ReedemtheD3ad! about the suggestions we planned to offer to this wiki. First of all, I would like to apologize for the wrong opinion you may have had of us based on this misunderstood communication.
As part of our daily basis we always try to offer our best help to the communities, and both the Community Managers and the assigned Wiki Managers (like ReedemtheD3ad! here) intend to offer them to the users.
What I previously planned with Reedem were actually suggestions to improve some aspects of the wiki: basically the navigation and also SEO. But, as always, they're basically suggestions or best practices tips that we offer, but they are always discussed in advance with the local admins. He probably misunderstood that vital condition, and made the edits because he thought they were the best way to help you.
To explain you a bit more what I discussed with him, I basically suggested to you some small modifications in the Main Page.
Regarding the slider, based in our SEO investigations we realized it isn't the most ideal tool to build a Main Page, basically because the text and content included there is not read by the search tool. You can read more details about it here.
In addition, I also suggested to add a general description about the Megami Tensei series, because it also helps a lot in order to be inside the first results.
And regarding the merge of the sections "Release Dates & Events" and "News" it was basically a secondary suggestion to have the sections more optimized, but it was a really superfluous suggestion.
And in addition to the Main Page, I also suggested to optimize the wiki navigation. Although is pretty solid and complete, it would be more optimized if we use the second and third items (FRANCHISE and DATABASE) at the first place. In addition, to help SEO these two words could be changed by others like "Megami Tensei". Furthermore, you could use the third level of the menu (using ***) to include concrete subcategories of the mentioned items.
Let me know what do you think about the suggestions and, again, I'm sorry for the confusions ReedemtheD3ad! could have created. Thanks!
I can add stats once we get a stats template going (I don't know how to code so I can't do this part), but not strategies. The thing is, in-game it only shows the Shadow's HP, Attack, Defense, Skills, elemental resistances, and drop items.
Parameters like St, Ma, En, etc. and ailment resistance can only be found out through datamining, which from a quick google search no one has done yet.
Exp isn't listed but it's possible to find it out via simple math.
I doubt they'll move from the high school formula since that's what sells. Atlus back then wasn't against experimenting with new ideas as we've seen with Eternal Punishment, the themes in Nocturne, various spin offs like Digital Devil Saga and Raidou, etc. Lately they are going the safe route as some interviews regarding P5 point out like "feeling right at home" with the game and that, personally, held P5 a bit.
While a new writer can bring the possibility of experimenting new things I wouldn't be surprised if they went with the same formula and standards (which personally I don't like) ever since P4.
...What do you mean first Persona game? As in the first ever made? Then that would be Revelations Persona which is a badly localized one, then there's the PSP port Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, which is arguably better.
You can also call it Persona 1... shocking, I know.
