Melee Weapons (近接武器, Kinsetsu Buki)? or just Weapons are a type of equipment in the series. They might be categorized as "melee weapons" if they have another counterpart, such as Ranged Weapons.
Overview[]
Melee Weapons primarily account for melee attack damage. Their statistics normally include power and accuracy, alongside a potential secondary effect to melee attacks or just to enhance the user's properties as a whole.
Melee Weapons are either divided via categories, where only certain (and sometimes more than one) users can equip them. Otherwise, weapons can be catered only towards specific combatants.
Shin Megami Tensei NINE[]
Each melee weapon has an attached physical skill that acts as the protagonist's basic melee attack. Possible melee attack skills include Mist Slash, Spin Slash, Deathbound, Mow Down, Double Thrust, Iron Tail, and Tekken Punch. If they don't have a melee weapon equipped, they default to Tackle.
Persona 5 Royal[]
Traits that enhance chance to inflict ailments like "Gaia Pact" or "Foul Stench" do not affect weapons, melee or ranged. If attacks from such weapons are repelled, traits that prevent ailments like "Icy Glare" or "Immunity" are unable to protect the user from their effects, although Passive skills like Null Shock would still work as intended.
Persona 5: The Phantom X[]
Melee weapons in this game, much like the characters, are obtained from the gacha. Each character starts out with a weapon at base level and can get upgraded weapons from this gacha (with the exception of the protagonist). These upgraded weapons come with a special trait.
