Profile[]
Morris was a guardsman in Martira and second-in-command to Bardon. Despite his position, he was actually a cruel man with a gambling addiction and significant debts.
When the protagonist first meets him to gather information about Heismay, Morris comes across as unfriendly. Later, he volunteers information and directs the group to look for Heismay at the Sandworm’s Den, telling them that the weather would cause the sandworm to fall asleep. However, this information was a lie; the weather causes the creatures in the den to go berserk, and the “sandworm” turns out to be a human known as the Greatworm Homo Butera.
Morris is eventually revealed as the one who framed Heismay, falsely claiming to have seen him sneaking around during the kidnappings. In reality, Morris and a few of his fellow guardsmen were responsible for abducting the town's citizens to feed Homo Jaluzo, a human kept by Joanna beneath Kriegante Castle under her orders and to pay off his gambling debts.
One night, as he and the guardsmen attempt to kidnap another group of people, they are caught by the protagonist, who successfully rescues the abductees. Morris flees to the depths of the castle, but meets his end when Homo Jaluzo devours him after he fails to deliver a meal that night.
