Etymology[]
- Masaki (真咲) consists of the kanji for "true" (真) (ma) and "bloom/blossom" (咲) (saki), tying into his passion for floristry.
- Ashiya (蘆谷) consists of the kanji for "reed plant" (蘆) (ashi) and "valley" (谷) (ya).
- The reed plant has been historically significant in Greek culture and used as a wicker material for weaving cornucopia baskets, an item whose origins are traced back to the Horn of Amalthea. This mythos is referenced through Masaki's Persona Amalthea and the horn-shaped ornament that he wears on his lower back.
