Persona 3[]
Maniacal Book appears on the later floors of the Arqa Block within Tartarus, from Floor 48 and upwards. When defeated, it may drop Amethyst gemstones.
Persona 4 / Golden[]
Maniacal Book appears in Paradise 2 through 4 in Heaven within the Midnight Channel. When defeated, it may drop Crimson Cover. Selling four Crimson Covers at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Vampire Shoes for Chie in the shop.
In Golden, it is now weak to physical instead of ice, resists wind, and absorbs electricity. It may also drop Buffalo Stone for trade at Shiroku Pub.
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth[]
Maniacal Book appears in Acts 1 and 3 of Hikari. It attacks with Electric skills, and may cast Confusion on the party. When defeated, it may drop Book Gem and Book Cover. Book Gem is used to create the David for Morgana, the Bus Stop Sign for Shinjiro, the Hydravenom Bow for Yukari, the Chrome Heart for Naoto, the Crusader Plate male armor, and the Marine Dog Suit for Koromaru. Book Cover is used to create the Kijintou for Yusuke and the Trident for Ken.
