Magatsugami is a character from Persona 5: The Phantom X.
Appearances[]
- Persona 5: The Phantom X: Major Character (Antagonist)
Personality[]
As an anonymous figure, very little is known about Magatsugami and what little that is is that they founded and administrate the Divine Justice website to allow people to submit footage and articles about specific disruptive people in society. Through some unknown process, Magatsugami certifies some of these individuals and they are labeled as "Menaces."
However, Magatsugami is implied to have been the figure who forced Hiromu Miyazawa to look for a new Menace to replace Takeyuki Kiuchi after his change of heart. They also seemed disappointed with Kei Akashi's sudden reformation after his change of heart, after which, Akashi was mysteriously assassinated by a different Menace. What this suggests about this mysterious figure is unclear, but it implies that Magatsugami may have some unrevealed influence or power over the Menaces, and may have their own intentions with them besides simply "exposing" their misdeeds to the public.
Profile[]
Persona 5: The Phantom X[]
Magatsugami is a mysterious figure who is well-known as the founder and operator of Divine Justice, a popular website that gathers videos and articles about "annoying people" posted by registered users. They have the power to pin posts with the most dislikes or views to the the website's front page, and certify the subjects from these posts as Menaces.
It appears that they also have access to the Metaverse Navigator and Metaverse, and can manipulate Shedim to make one's shadow self lose control.
Chapter 3: Concerto For Rulebreakers[]
Magatsugami receives a call from the recently reformed Kei Akashi, who turned himself into the police. Magatsugami is disappointed by this. Shortly after, Akashi is killed by a homeless man after he was suddenly influenced by the Shedim. The homeless man is later certified as a Menace.
Trivia[]
