Apps are a gameplay mechanic in Shin Megami Tensei IV and are installed in a Gauntlet using App Points.
Apps
The sprite Burroughs in a Gauntlet will provide Apps to assist a Samurai. Apps can be obtained by purchasing them with App Points, which Flynn gets 10 of every level. Flynn can not obtain all of the Apps with the App Points received from leveling alone, so he must find different means.
- 10 Point App Cards or 20 Point App Cards can be found either in the main game or in DLC.
- 40 App Points can be obtained by StreetPassing someone with either Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans data or Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers data just once for each game, which are other titles created by Atlus.
