Apps are a gameplay mechanic in Shin Megami Tensei IV and are installed in a Gauntlet using App Points.

Apps

The sprite Burroughs in a Gauntlet will provide Apps to assist a Samurai. Apps can be obtained by purchasing them with App Points, which Flynn gets 10 of every level. However, Flynn can not obtain all of the Apps with the App Points received from leveling alone, so he must find different means.

  • 10-Point Cards and 20-Point Cards can be found either in the main game or in DLC, and can be used to obtain App Points.
  • 40 App Points can be obtained by StreetPassing someone with Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans data just once.
  • 40 App Points can be obtained by StreetPassing someone with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers data just once.
