Light spells carry the Light element, the polar opposite of the element Darkness.

General spell

Hama is the general spell for the Light element in the series. In the Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, Hama spells become HP dividing attacks rather than fatal. Human form (even in Berserk mode) has the immunity against Hama spells inherently. Hama is the exorcism concept in Shintoism. In Megami Ibunroku Persona, Light Spells are divided between Expel Spells, which use the traditional Hama line, and Miracle Spells. Likewise, Hama spells deal damage and continue to deal damage to the target each turn, with only certain types of enemies being killed instantly.
