Life Drain, also known as Bloodsuck (吸血, Kyuuketsu)?, is a special Almighty skill.
Effect[]
This topic is in need of research for the following reason: * How does Life Drain interact when the user's HP is lower than the damage given? (SMT5) This can be discussed on the article's talk page. |
Life Drain lets the user take away a certain amount of HP from its target, and apply it to their own HP value. In the main series, the amount stolen can increase or decrease based on any buffs and/or debuffs on the user and/or the target. In the Persona games, it steals a set amount.
In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Life Drain steals HP and MP from one foe.
In Shin Megami Tensei V, the attack is damage-based, and the HP restored is parallel to the damage given. It cannot drain more than the target's maximum HP.
In Persona 3, Life Drain drains 35 HP from 1 target.
In Persona 4 and Persona 5 Life Drain drains 30 HP from 1 target.
In Persona 5, Life Drain cannot deal Technical damage and will not remove status ailments from the target. As a fixed-damage skill, it is not affected by any damage modifier, including Almighty Boost, although its draining effect can be enhanced with Persona Traits like "Hallowed Spirit" or "Draining Mouth", with the latter also increases the amount of HP the target lost.
In Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, Life Drain is a Body attack that steals HP from 1 target.
IN Devil Survivor 2, Life Drain's power increases if the user is at low HP.
